Party & Moonwalk Rental Frequently Asked Questions and Answers
What is a moonwalk?
While “Moonwalks” have different names such as inflatables, bouncers, and jumpers, they are made with vinyl pieces sown together that hold air to some extent. Thus, when inflated they are fun to jump around in! Moonwalks come in verity of structural designs starting from a basic castle bounce structure to more complex designs such as obstacle courses, slides, water slides and combination of all put together.
What should I know before renting a moonwalk?
It is a good idea to use a check list to help you with the process or renting a moonwalk. Here is a basic check list that you can always add to or deduct from:
- How many guests will you be having? (Ex. Children above the ages of 3 up to 15)
- What is your backyard’s open area? (Ex. 20’x25’)
- Do you have a power plug outside in the backyard or will there be a need of power extension cord? (If you don’t have one it is recommended for you to let the moonwalk rental company know of the closest power plug ahead of time. Ex. The nearest power plug is 35’ away!)
- Do you have someone to supervise the unit? (It is recommended to have an adult’s supervision for every 10 to 15 kids at all times)
- Ask yourself if you would want a “Dry Unit” (operates with no water) or a “Wet Unit” (operates with water, such as a Water Slide”).
- Know your budget ahead of time.
How to choose a moonwalk rental company?
There are also party rental companies that offer moonwalk rentals. So if you already have a party rental supplier you may want to check with them to see if they offer moonwalk rentals or not. After selecting two or three companies you should:
- Make sure you read the reviews for each rental company that you find on our site!
- Ask each how often they clean their units. (The best candidates are the ones that clean each and every unit after each and every time the unit is rented out)
- Give them exact specifications to what you want.
- If your party starts at 2 p.m. tell them that you need the unit to be setup at 12 p.m.
- Make sure they have a unit that would match the theme of your party. (If the party is for a boy don’t settle for a “Princess Castle”.)
- Ask for unit measurements and check your check list to see if you have enough room for the rental unit.
